Dope that you picked The Unknown!

Said this to Sammy through text last night, but my "beef" with Sammy's article is only that I just don't even think most comics fans want weird shit like out of continuity, bat shit crazy stuff. And that's a huge bummer.

Maybe I'm just shitting on all the nerdzzz, but I see them just being disinterested or supportive of the weird shit.brandonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05331746353766612879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5781642913058207208.post-73606687394299600522009-12-18T19:04:42.879-05:002009-12-18T19:04:42.879-05:00@Samuel Rules

At SPX every year there are a ton of Super Hero stories or video game or Star Wars minis that you can get, and they are charging like five bucks or whatever. As long as it doesn't get TOO out of hand, I'd go for it.

PS. saw the pin up in Wet Moon, it's awesome dude!

BEEG-

I think even the weird ones like that are incredible. Like that one Conan one you were talking about a month or so ago, man, I love that stuff. I feel like they should do this Zuda style thing or something where comic nerds like you and me can make our own What Ifs or one shots or whatever. I'd like to see more of the crazy old DC stuff like-where batman has to wear a different color bat suit every day. It'd be rad to see creators try to out do eachother like that.

and when something like the what if Gamma Bomb Spawned A Thousand Hulks--why the fuck isnt that idea just part of the real comic? like would it mess with the integrity of the marvel universe if they did something fun. mannnnn Quesada is a mutherfuckin skrull for real.Brandon Gnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5781642913058207208.post-84907756774827394632009-12-18T01:02:42.081-05:002009-12-18T01:02:42.081-05:00great post.
there at the end, you brushed up again...great post.
there at the end, you brushed up against something that i get revved up about a lot lately: the corporation's war on the public domain. I agree 100% that Superman should be in the public domain. but what we can be sure of is that he NEVER will be. Disney (and i'm sure other media corporations) are fighting to extend copyrights indefinitely past the creator's death, effectively threatening to ending public domain.

but i digress...
back on topic, I always loved those "What If" comics. those kind of books are needed now more than EVER!Samaxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17390821139505287622noreply@blogger.com
